Vallegre Azeite Virgem Extra VALLEGRE Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a high quality olive oil, obtained from olives of native, centuries old olive trees of the Douro region, planted as borders at our Vista Alegre and Valle Longo estates. RegionDouro CastesMadural, Verdial, Cobrançosa, Cordovil e Galega StageThe olive trees are trained under dry conditions, pruning is a very limited operation, there is no phytosanitary treatments, nor fertilization or irrigation. Olive picking is done the traditional way, with the use of a long stick and tarpaulin to catch the fruit. The olives are packed in perforated boxes of 22 kg.
A maximum of 24 hours after harvest, the oil is extracted at low temperatures, obtained directly from the olives solely by mechanical means. Milling uses the traditional granite mill.
ConsumptionThe distinctive organoleptic characteristics ensure it is recommended for all types of use. However, its raw consumption is recommended to better sense the flavour and aroma. conservationThe olive oil is stored in stainless steel tanks, made inert with nitrogen, and kept at a temperature of 15°C to 20°C. Bottling is 4 months after the olive oil is obtained.
Store away from light, air, sources of heat and intense smells.
