Color
Amber, with brownish hints.
Aroma
Elegant and aromatic, due to prolonged aging in oak wood, displaying a wide variety of dried fruit aromas, such as hazelnut and almond, with hints of cinnamon and vanilla standing out.
Palate
Fresh and velvety. It reveals a harmonious structure and great surroundings. Long and delicate finish.
Castes
Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Sousão, Tinta Barroca e Tinto Cão.
Viticulture
Careful selection of grapes from the Douro Demarcated Region, namely: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Sousão, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão.
Winemaking
Vinification according to the traditional Port Wine method. After gentle crushing with partial destemming, alcoholic fermentation follows with pellicular maceration. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperature and is stopped by the addition of wine brandy. The entire winemaking process, which is monitored by the oenology team, takes into account the grape varieties, their degree of maturation and the desired sweetness.
Stage
This Limited Edition 20 year old Tawny is a very special batch created through the art and magic of the "blend", through a careful choice, of wines from the best harvests that remind us of the region´s history, such as the years 1995, 1997 and 2000. These wines, which are aged in oak casks, are religiously kept in our cellars, in the heart of the Douro Demarcated Region.
Consumption
It should be served at a temperature between 10º and 12º C. Excellent accompaniment to desserts made with chocolate, nuts, spices (cinnamon) and caramel. It also harmonizes well with coffee and chocolates. As Port Wine is a natural product, it is likely to create deposits. It must be served carefully so as not to cloud it.
conservation
Bottle upright at a constant temperature and protected from intense light. After its opening consume, preferably, between 20 to 26 weeks.
